Well, we didn’t have anything planning this past Saturday so we decided to head up to San Francisco for Fleet Week.

While we didn’t make it to the food truck rally at Fort Mason in time, we did get to explore Columbus Ave together on our way north. After heading up toward Fort Mason to watch the final part of the America’s Cup/catch the sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge, we headed back towards Columbus Ave for dinner.

We ended up eating at The Stinking Rose, which is a “loads of garlic on everything” restaurant. It was amazingly delicious (I am a fan of garlic) but I’m pretty sure we went through 3-5 bulbs with dinner.*

We walked back toward Caltrain after dinner and were able to catch a front row seat to the fireworks show. It was a long, fun day and I can’t wait to tour the aircraft carrier on Monday!
