The next time I see James Carville and the owner of Maker’s Mark in person, I need to do more than gawk and take a photo.
A couple of months ago, I got an email from Emily at Maker’s Mark. Since I am part of their (awesome) Ambassador program, they had a couple of upcoming events for a meet and greet for charity. One of them was in late July in downtown San Francisco. Obviously, we decided to go.
My cousin Kate was also in town that weekend for reasons I cannot disclose yet so we brought her along to give her a taste of San Francisco (and some bourbon which she hadn’t had in a while).
So yes, I techincally showed up to a Maker’s Mark party with a chick on each arm. (Listen, I can only make so many jokes here. Give me a break already!) They had 2 bars and some wonderful finger foods (I practically tackled the guy with a platter of sliders) What was really awesome about this party was the levels of interactivity that they offered. You could roll a barrel, see the beer making process before distilling, and dipping your own bottle in their signature red wax!
They don’t mess around however- they basically suit you up before you dip in 400 degree wax.
I don’t always dip Maker’s Mark bottles at parties, but when I do, I prefer to do it in style.
(This event was also shot with my Canon Powershot PAS which I haven’t used as often since I got my DSLR’s.)
